That truck has been my inspiration! I have a photo of it driving on my desktop at work!

How good is the Air Force on stationing married couples together who are both enlisted? My husband wants to join the air force and I have always wanted to join as well. He is concerned about us being stationed apart. Is the air force good about keeping married couples together?

Reasonably so. It depends on the AFSC's you both have. The more related your job specialties are the more likely you can USUALLY get join spouse assignments. There are other restrictions that you will encounter such as children will require special custodial assignments in case both of you are deployed suddenly. Don't laugh at this. I had a young couple during an Operational Readiness Exercise climb aboard a KC135 and actually to their surprise leave the air base for an overnight deployment with their children sitting in their car. Broke several laws here and it cost them dearly. I had a young couple assigned to my shift at a MAC air base in the 70's once. They would both show up for work continuing the same argument they were having at the house. Try dealing with that as a supervisor. Recall that you often hear of the injured police officers involved in breaking up domestic disputes well nothing different at my shop either. So don't expect to be working the same unit or the same shift. Very few USAF managers are that dumb anymore!

BigEddieM37 wrote:I used the USAF vehicle marking guide from Portrayal Press as a guide. It was very helpful. The retired USAF guys I meet always appreciate seeing their color on a vehicle. It's always nice to hear of others who are restoring a vehicle in Strata Blue! I'm VERY proud of my M37 and the service branch it represents.
