Thanks, Charles, very interesting and informative. Had no idea there were so many considerations. I certainly understand the legal possibilities, having been on a trial bench for 34 years before retirement.

Yeh, there's a hook at every corner, bad thing is there is so much substandard junk out there from India & other cheap imports that make Chinese products look good. Much of this stuff meets no kind of specs at all. The really hard thing is some distributors sell this junk at just a little under the cost of high quality products. Most consumers don't have a clue. Be really careful when you start shopping, make the seller prove their product's quality.

A lot of guys are using synthetic Kevlar on the trails these days.
Not quite so subject to abrasion and for the weight, hard to beat.
Never used it myself, just adding another option.
