I have done it Bruce, the M is pleasant to walk next to as in Lo range 1st it does notably less than walking pace at idle (V8 torque helps) and if done with a bit of commonsense it makes for an interesting party trick LOL
I also noted after putting the 318 in that when winching the hand throttle is no longer required, if you need to pick the revs up above 500 the load needs a fall block or is too heavy....

Yes you can indeed walk beside her in 1st gear low range :lol:

I entered mine in a slow truck race but lost out to a 1930 something Sterling Chain drive :(

Slow truck races can be fun. :D My uncle used to win them fairly regularly with his 1915 Ford Model TT. It had the stock 4-cylinder engine and planetary transmission which fed into a 3-speed "crash box" auxiliary transmission and a Ruxtell 2-speed differential. In low, low, and low, a turtle could outrun it, but it would pull a barn off its foundation!
