reading the whole article was pretty interesting. I think we humans tend to think of some landmarks and natural phenomena in geological terms, that if it it took perhaps millions of years to form something, that surely it must last for eons. But nature is both timeless and fragile. I first thought the picture of the desert tree and truck was a photo taken by a British desert scout car in WWII. Thanks for posting the article.

The Acacia tree has a lot of symbolism with it, Masonic if the first to come to mind, Hyram Abiff grave was marked with a sprig of Acacia. The story is part of one of the many rituals of the Masonic third degree. I the Dodge looks more like a M-601.
