WTB: Antenna Mount For 1952 M37

Post by Tim Powell »

Hey Crew.
Anyone have an original M37 radio antenna mount for sale?? Checked thru the adds and didn't see any current.
Want to add an antenna to Lori's "M".

Last fall I found an original mount, the part that bolts to the truck, the base, and a whip antennae with its case and accessories. all new. I found it all on Ebay, cost total maybe $150 or so.

Good luck with your own search.

Antenna Mount & Base arrived safe and sound!
Now, to get it installed. Might let Lori do that. I need a break!
Thanks Rick!

Congrats, Tim!
Make sure you leave enough clearance for the bow hold-down strap/mount. I almost jacked mine up by putting it too close to the bracket.

The drawing with the military locations is either on here or Cabell's page. I used its dimensions and the antenna installed perfectly.

There should be knock-outs on the bed side that match up with the antenna mount?

Hey Guys.
I think I found a mounting diagram but not sure? I'll look to see if there are knock-outs, I did see one big one for the antenna cable. Going out of town first thing in the morning but hope to install the mount Tuesday. If this is not the right template do not hesitate to let me know!! (Hey Bruce!) Thanks Gary & Just-Me also!

That is the drawing I used. Did the layout in pencil, center punched the locations and drilled the holes to specified size. Careful layout meant instant success.
(The knockout is just for the antenna grommet. There are no KO's for the 6 mount bolts.)

Hey Just-Me.
I figure about one pot of coffee for the layout work followed by a second pot for the drilling and mounting.
I've got two speeds anymore, slow & stopped. Measure twice, drill once. Well, drill 6 times I guess.
