Cowl brace for hood hinge replacement?

Post by 06boblee »

Is there a source for replacement cowl braces? (the one that the hood hinge bolts to) Mine is in sad shape! That is an Army repair- as I was the first owner from them.

Is that the underside of a fiberglas mat repair job? :?

I think you're going to have to fabricate something, or have a shop with a brake bend some sheet to fit. Unless you can find a donor cab tub and cut the sections you need.

What about replacing the entire cab tub, and using this one for parts?

Boy if I could find a good cab that I could afford that was somewhere close--- I'm just east of Dallas, and there is nothing close that I can find.
