What is the engine basic idle speed

Post by vargaspj »

Can anyone tell me what the engine idle speed is supposed to be set using the carburetor idle screw and where they found it in the M37 manuals?

475 rpm from 1954 Chilton's and Motor's manuals.
500-550 RPM per Form 4655T Carter ETW1 Dodge Truck (Military) instructions.
