Import speedometer

Post by HingsingM37 »

As I stated in my swap meet post last week my import replacement speedometer gave it up. When I posted the pic I said it looked like the threaded drive collect was just pressed in at best. Some suggested it looked jagged and the metal had broke. Curious I took the scratch wheel to the alleged anti-tamper material which appeared to be more like a bad glue attempt by the manufacture. I was correct. The jagged appearance in the other post was the paint/glue. The collar is round and was held in by a swage at best  Old speedometer is back in and happy :) Wishing all a Blessed Memorial Day.

I may tinker with repairing it at a future date. That will be a winter project
