NP200 Transfer Case Bearings C1960Q?

Post by Elwood »

Anyone have a source for the C1960Q needle bearings? There are 70 of them used in the NP200 transfer case, in a double row to support the low speed drive gear, which spins on the input shaft. I've been unable to find them from a Timken supplier, and my source for National Bearings (Federal-Mogul) tells me that the factory has obsoleted the part number.

The manufacturer's part no. in the ORD 9 SNL G-741 service parts book (Jan 1954, p. 216) lists these as "BN-C1690Q", but I suspect that is a typo, as the Chrysler part no. (CC-862159) cross references to "C1960Q". The "BN" part of the number stood for "Bantam Bearings", but I'm not sure they're still around. The ordnance p/n is 712398.
