Seeing what you think. My son in law wanted dual outside mirrors on his M37. The only thing I could come up with is the California style mirrors. What I found was just too big and over whelming. Then it don on me what about M998 Mirrors. Whala! It is what the doctor ordered, small and low profile and it’s a military vehicle item. Just awaiting two smaller brackets to mount the right side.

Iten,
Looks good. Like you said, probably the best compromise for what you want to accomplish.

Thanks! He was looking for more safety issues because he will be using it on a simi day to day driver. I was looking for a military modification using a military M series vehicle item.w30bob wrote:Iten,

This is likely to happen to mine now. Looks good.

That's what I plan to do with my truck when I get to that stage. Looks good.
M37s are HMMWV in my world!

I found them on e-pay! I got the TO pair for $108.00 total to my front door. When I got mine he had about 3 pairs left. I just googled "M998 Mirrors" and a e-pay link showed up.

FYI
If any one needs some assistance in mounting them let me know. When I get my other 2 lower brackets in and mount the right side I will do a wright up to the MVPA which is in the works at this time.

I have a set of westcoasters I cut down to size on mine but the M998 split mirror system looks nice, there was a half height westcoaster sold at spare parts outlets a while back heer but I have not seen them for a long time.

Re: M37 WITH M998 MIRROR SYSTEM (UPDATE)
Well we got the right side mounted. They look good and discovered that the sort "L" brackets won't work well and found that the original long "L" brackets works best. But however if you want the short "L" brackets just MODFY the long brackets to mirror the short ones. Those of you that are MVPA members I sent in a write up on it to TECH TALK. We will see if it makes the next issue of Supply Line / Army Motors.
