Just thought that I would remind everyone that we will be having the 9th Annual Graves Mountain Military Vehicle and Vintage 4x4 Trail Rides in VA again this year over the Labor Day weekend.
Event dates are August 31-September 4, 2017 in scenic Syria, Virginia, at the historic Graves Mountain Lodge.
The website has info including a flyer/registration page.

We always have a bunch of M37 and other military vehicles and are looking for more.

The shirt order was placed this afternoon... We'll have plenty of them for those of you who attend... Chuck's done a great job with the design again this year...
Also, speaking of shirts, Rick Sultan of http://dodgepowerwagongear.com/ is donating a box of swag for us to use as prizes for the Saturday afternoon truck games, etc...

Just a reminder, or a plea, to get your registration forms in so that we can ensure that we have everything ready for when you arrive...and so that you can save a few bucks...

For those of you attending the Graves Mountain Trailrides and Rally next week in Virginia:

Time for two really big reminders!

We do NOT have gas/fuel at the Syria Mercantile... Closest place to put go juice in your MV is in Madison, so make sure that you fill up the tanks and jerry cans on the way in...
We do NOT have cell phone coverage in the area (ok, we do up on top of the mountain and in some spotty locations, but just plan on not having a signal).
We do have internet via WIFI at the Lodge, Syria Mercantile, etc. It can get slow...

If you have an emergency and somebody needs to get word to you, have them call the Lodge office and they will relay it down to Chuck in the HQ tent. The nature of the emergency will have an effect on how fast the message gets down the hill and to you...

It's been a while, but I just got around to posting all the photos that I could find from the event onto Flickr...

Just an update for those of you interested in this year's event...

10th Annual Graves Mountain Military Vehicle and Vintage 4x4 Trail Rides!
Labor Day Weekend
August 30-September 3, 2018

Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year (and praying for a bit more sun and a bit less rain)...

We've had a bit of wind in the area over the winter and spring, so we are having a trail cleanup/MV event/Fireworks/Band on the 4th of July. The current plan is for the Rockridge Offroad (the jeep club that helps out) folks to arrive the weekend before the 4th and to camp at my cabin at the end of the road. We will do trail rides/cleanup during the days with ample time to relax each day... Fourth of July, we will ride some and will quit early enough in the day to enjoy the festivities at the Lodge including the band, fireworks, food, games, etc. We will depart on the morning of the 5th. Come for the entire extended weekend or just for a day...

Obviously, the Lodge is available in case somebody isn't into camping...

We will have a few more weekends scheduled later in the Summer, closer to the event date.

Folks who attend a few of the cleanup weekends will be eligible for a reduced registration fee and for a volunteer shirt...
Send me a PM or post here if you are able to attend any (or all) of the work weekends.

PM me if you are interested in helping out or hanging out in July, or need more info about the event itself.
