Another Noreaster in March.

Post by Carter »

Today I had another opportunity to play with the M, we received 10 " of heavy wet snow and sleet and the old girl was up to the task.

That's great weather Gary, last Wednesday we had 70f here and one week later 15f and the blizzard. Over my lifetime I have seen a total of 6 of them with March of 1958 being the worst.

Right now, I'm not liking either one of you very much.

We had a taste of spring, but now it's just bitter cold.

It was a chilly 74 when I left for work. Gonna get to 94 this afternoon. I've got a ton of weeds to pull.

If you're trying to make friends here, you might consider a different technique.

We got 18 inches of snow, during Tuesday's blizzard. This morning when I left for work it was 7 degrees. I can't wait for summer.

Glad we did not get that much, 10" was enough and the temps did get higher than what you had.

I feel worse, we got some freezing rain and not much more, I did have a dozen or so cedar trees fall away from my driveway! (what a throw of the dice)

Sorry about your trees Bruce, I have had them go down in past storms and always felt like I had lost an old friend.

It was mostly tree tops, the men and women that cut my fields cuss the cedars as they loose a lot of silage, the driveway is approximately 1/2 mile long. Only two trees need total removal, my son and I can do this with east, it does change the view a bit.

I filled two huge bins with leaves, weeds and grass cleaning up after the rain a few weeks back. 2" and then 90+° weather makes this jnk go crazy. But, still had time to do a ton of work on the engine project. Almost everything is degreased and the measuring and machining has started on the block and rotating assembly.
By the way, this water based degreaser really works great. Throw the stuff in the tank, turn the pump on and come back in a few hours. Spotless stuff just needing a rinse and blow dry.

We took a late hit today in Utah-8 inches of snow up my way, and wet & heavy. No opportunity to get out and play, just shovel....
