Iola, Wisconsin military show August 9th 2014

Post by m37jarhead »

I hope to see all of you regulars at the Iola show, T-highway, Skinned Knuckles and others.
We'll meet again at the base of the tower at high noon on Saturday. Bring your cameras
and your M37 pic's and M37 stories. Lunch together maybe?
All interested parties are welcome even if you don't have an M37. We're friendly people
and would welcome anyone interested in military vehicles.
Post here or PM me if you plan to attend.

Hi Jerry,

I will be there, lunch sounds like a good idea. I hope that we can get Skinned Knuckles to stop driving his Weasel around long enough to stop by and chat.

I still have my GP Small Military Tent Canvas for sale. It includes all poles and 10 metal tent stakes (each pole is aluminum and collapsible) also included is the command vestibule that attaches to the tent as an entrance , I have used it for reenacting only. it has a rip that can easily be sewn or stitched that is about 5 inches long. If anyone wants it, I could bring it to Iola I am asking 300 or best offer.

It was originally listed here with pictures

I'll be there on Thursday through Sunday morning , camping in the same spot with the blue Dodge. Have not yet figured what we are bringing up. Maybe the bobbed deuce with the mighty mite in the back, and the weasel on the trailer ( Bert, it is fun to run around with and transporting parts is a breeze- but no more 400 lb shells this year...... I hope  ) . We are bringing up a few bicycles painted up military and, since we are going to Symco for the car show we are bringing up some mini bikes for the races there. It will be nice to see you guys and tell some trueful lies :D

Until then have fun,

I am Soooo... looking forward to SOS, Brat and a canned peach for breakfast on August 9th. I'm also looking forward to seeing quite a few faces that I haven't seen since last year @ Iola. I will also be taking allot of pictures to share with everyone here.

I can't wait.........my shopping list has been made out for a while now and the money has been allocated for the mission.

If anyone that is unable to attend is looking for something special, let me know what it is and shoot me a PM with your phone number and budgetary notes. I will have a full sized pickup truck and M101 for backhauling.

Bert,
Somethin' on a shingle ( G -rated language) is good for one breakfast. We usually go into town to a small restaurant and eat pancakes as big as your plate and huge French toast, MMMM .
I don't go with an empty trailer that's too dangerous - might find something that I cant live without and it might follow me home  . We are getting things ready to go - less than a week and we are on the road.
Hopefully the weather cooperates.
see ya later,

Paul,

I don't have an empty trailer going to Iola, its packed full of M101 and M37 parts that I need to deliver on the way up. This helps to sponsor my OD addiction.

I've been boycotting French Fries and French Toast for years.

See ya in Iola.

I'm headed up in the morning. I'll try to make it there on Saturday, on time. I'd made it last year but by time I remembered to look at the time, it was too late.

See ya'll there.
